I'm Liz and I love movies, among other things.

I started posting a bit on Tiktok during the pandemic, as many people did, but I didn't primarily talk about film until about 2023. I often found myself watching movies that the people in my life hadn't and I was itching to talk about them. The Internet, in even its simplest days, has always been great at connecting people who have shared interests. Like you and I!

At some point, imperceptibly, posting went from something I did on a whim to something I do as a trade. I want to get better at writing about film, I want to see a wider range of films, I want to earn the trust of my audience, and I want to learn ways of making my videos look and sound their best. Honestly, my ego is too big to post content that I'm not proud of, knowing that a stadium's worth of people could see it.

I love music and live concerts. I love cotton clothes and sheets. I love soft, warm pools of light. I love jewel tones. I love L'Occitane shower oil, even though it's very expensive. I love cuddling with my partner while watching a movie and falling asleep halfway through, especially if it's a Miyazaki movie. I love how the air smells in Ireland. I love learning something new and being taught something new. I love being completely earnest. I love when the red line gets near the Charles/MGH stop during sunset and everyone looks up from their phones and books to look at the light on the river at the same time. I love traveling somewhere I've never been. I love the feeling of speechlessness.
